Bob Wade: Fighter Pilot
After spending five years operating heavy equipment in Fort McMurray, Bob joined the Venture Training Program with the Canadian Air Force. As time went by Bob skimmed over German forests, swooped with the Snowbirds, demonstrated how to fly a CF18, and won awards for his instruction of student pilots. The Air Force offered widespread opportunities for adventure and Bob made the most of the excitement and humour that came with job.
Although Bob had reached the rank of Major when he retired, he continued flying for civilian airlines including Korean Air.
Bob is now Honorary Chair of the Royal Canadian Air Force Association and Deputy Chair of the Air Force Museum Society in Calgary.
