Democracy Under Siege
** Full with Waitlist**
In light of current world turmoil, this interest group will examine various models of democratic governance, their fragilities, and what the future holds. The agenda will be provided to all registrants by the facilitator prior to the first meeting.
As a peer-learning group, each participant is expected to volunteer to give a brief presentation based on an agenda item, which will be followed by collegial group discussion. In addition, members will be asked to read short items available on line before some of the sessions to provide a common basis for discussion.
The initial agenda can be expanded and the number of meetings extended if at least 8 group members agree.
Please note: Because each session in this group builds upon discussions in the previous sessions (i.e., the sessions are not standalone), it is essential that all registrants attend from the beginning.
