ALBERTA AND QUEBEC: BEHIND THE HEADLINES
That referenda loom on the political horizon in both Quebec and Alberta is but one indicator of similarities and differences between the two provinces. Understanding these contrasts can lead to engaging and stimulating discussion.
The first hour of each session will focus on a major topic such as oil and gas, impact of tariffs, relations with the federal government, attitude to climate change. In the second hour, we will cover other topics of the moment as well as "hidden gems" in art, travel, food and music. The study group will be a joint offering by the CALL and McGill Community Lifelong Learners.
