Brazil

In December 2017, I was scheduled on a commercial Antarctic cruise. On to this I dovetailed a 5 week solo adventure by bus, car and train beginning and ending In Buenos Aeries, Argentina. A circle route took me along the Brazil border to Iguazu Falls, a tour of the southern states of Brazil, and finally a short visit to Montevideo and Colonia in Uruguay. My travels were mostly in small towns and countryside and included several significant birding experiences. I deliberately avoided large centres like Rio and Sao Paulo. My pictures will be a bit "birdy" but I promise not to overdo it. Brazil and Uruguay were new countries for me and I was not disappointed. The Antarctic component I will save for another time.
