Shakespeare Studies

Romeo and Juliet

Ah, yes, the urgency, the exquisite pain, of young love. In Romeo and Juliet, how tragic. And yet, how beautifully eternal. Might we not, for a moment, rejoice that their beauty will never lapse into the disappointment and disillusion of the Capulet parents?

Well, we will think on these things, as we consider how William Shakespeare uses poetry to shape the entire play. All who love love are welcome.
