MEDIEVAL HISTORY: THE CRUSADES CONTINUE



After the First Crusade successfully captured Jerusalem, four kingdoms were formed in the Middle East. However, when the Muslims recaptured Edessa in 1144, further action was required.

This interest group will examine the context of the decision to invade non-Christians, both within the Middle East and beyond.
