EXPLORING THE PROCREATE APP

Procreate is the best-selling drawing and painting app available for the iPad. It is a complete art studio that you can use anywhere, anytime. You only need an iPad, an Apple Pencil, the Procreate App, the Google Drive app and a willingness to explore the fantastic world of digital art on the iPad. Procreate is excellent for doing line art colouring, drawing, sketching, painting, tangling, neurogenic art, collages, alcohol ink art, cut paper art, Celtic knots, mandalas, tessellations, calligraphy and hand lettering, and many other art forms.

By joining this interest group (CALL Procreate Club), you will learn how to use the Procreate App on the iPad, iPad’s operating system, and Google Drive. No previous experience using an iPad, Procreate or Google Drive is required. Also, no drawing or painting experience is necessary.

The CALL Procreate Club will meet the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon from September to November 2025 and from January to May 2026. The  classes will be held via Zoom. If a suitable meeting place is arranged, there could be  in-person meetings as well.

By joining the CALL Procreate Club, you will benefit from an interactive, structured learning environment, with the Procreate features introduced logically and progressively. One week before each meeting, you will receive a written handout along with practice Procreate files to use during each lesson. Shortly after each meeting, you will receive a recording of the Zoom meetings for future review or catch-up.

As a member of the CALL Procreate Club, you are expected to review the handouts before each meeting and participate in the discussions. If you cannot attend a meeting, you are asked to watch the recording before the next meeting to stay caught up. Consistently attending the Zoom meetings will enhance your learning experience as you can ask questions during the sessions and get immediate answers.

You will need:

· an iPad,

· an Apple Pencil,

· the Procreate App,

· a computer, laptop or other device, in addition to your iPad;

· the Google Drive on your iPad; and

· basic ZOOM account on your computer, laptop or second device.

A computer, laptop, or other device, in addition to your iPad, is required to allow you to attend the Zoom sessions on your computer, laptop, or a second device and use Procreate on your iPad during the sessions.
