Canada 150: what CALL's you

Canada’s 150th is an opportunity to celebrate, reflect and explore!

It could be an opportunity to get together with fellow CALL members and participate in any of the possible ideas we are considering:

Where Were You in 1967?

  • ·       Look back at the artifacts still in your attic from Canada’s Centennial celebrations (maybe there’s a video to be made)
  • ·       Explore some of Calgary’s Centennial Project sites (they’re all in the City of Calgary’s 1967 Annual Report)
  • ·       Picnic in Centennial Park (ice cream social)
  • ·       Listen to the music of the day (hits of 1967)
  • ·       Research recipients of the Order of Canada (started in 1967)
  • ·       Visit Calgary’s part of Canada 150 Garden Experiences (tours and talks)

These are but a few suggestions. What CALLs you? If any of these ideas interest you, if you have ideas of your own, if you are willing to get together with others to pursue one of them, let us know.  We’ll help get things started!
